Zootopia’s Nick And Judy Are Kinda Dating After All

Disney’s Zootopia is still dominating the box office two weeks after its initial debut, and it’s easy to see why. For starters, the film tackles hard-hitting topics like racism and feminism in ways both kids and adults can understand.
And while that in and of itself is amazing, fans are more focused on shipping the two leads, bunny Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman). Seriously, it seems the entire Internet is rooting for Judy and Nick to be an actual couple, which—SPOILER—they never truly become in the movie. Instead, they’re just super good friends and partners on the Zootopia police force. But the people want more.
It’s been three days since I saw Zootopia and I still ship Nick and Judy and this is problematic because they’re friends & yet CAN’T HELP IT

Zootopia was a great movie and now I know why everyone ships Nick and Judy x’D

remember when I used to make fun of people for shipping anime characters with little basis for it
what has zootopia done to me

Zootopia makes me feel silly for shipping a fox and a rabbit together.

Well, it turns out there was a scene that didn’t make the final cut, but if it had, Nick x Judy would’ve been canon.
When Twitter user @Nick_WYLD shared an image from DeviantArt featuring Nick meeting Judy’s parents, and her calling him her “boyfriend,” director Rich Moore dropped a major truth bomb.
@_rich_moore @ByronPHoward @Disney Guess who’s coming to dinner — we know this scene was deleted https://t.co/r31VNKARju

Ha!???? There actually *is* a deleted scene similar to this one. We’ll try to include it on the blu-ray! ✨????✨ https://t.co/zoaSAG0jEs

Naturally, fans started freaking out about this, so I hope Moore does include the deleted scene on the Blu-ray. Until then, we’ll have to settle for all the fan fiction and fan art gracing the Internet.
