This Star Wars-Themed Plane Will Fly You To A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Buckle up, Jedis: Star Wars season is in full swing, and now it’s taking to the skies.

A month ahead of the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a Japanese airline has decided to celebrate with a full-blown Star Wars-themed jet—complete with flight attendants carrying lightsabers.

All Nippon Airways’ R2-D2 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is the first commercial airplane to pay homage to everyone’s favorite droid, with markings on its nose that resemble R2-D2. Inside, R2-D2 seat covers decorate the aisles and drinks are served in R2-D2 coffee cups.

The Star Wars plane made its first appearance on Thursday at Singapore’s Changi Airport. It’ll be stationed there for two days as part of the airport’s Star Wars exhibition, which also includes life-size replicas of the rebel X-wing fighters and the Empire’s TIE fighters.
