Pokémon Sun And Moon Announced

During a Pokémon-centred Nintendo Direct earlier today (that you can watch below), the next two instalments of the acclaimed franchise were announced: Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. These games mark the seventh generation of the series and the first all-new entry since Pokémon X and Y arrived back in 2013.

This announcement shouldn’t surprise fans, as the trademarks for the games were actually leaked online yesterday. While no actual game footage can be seen, concept art was shown, as well as the announcement that the games will support the Pokémon Bank cloud service, so you can carry over your precious Bellsprout for a whole new adventure!

A release date of late-2016 was also announced, so it won’t be long before we can jump back into the wonderful world of Pokémon,  which turns 20 years old tomorrow.

Also, don’t forget, the original Pokémon Blue, Red, and Yellow arrive on the 3DS Virtual Console tomorrow, and will allow for Pokémon Bank transfers to newer Pokémon titles. Gotta catch em all…again!
