Marvel Treats Fans To A Feast Of New Images And Info At Comic-Con
Ever get the feeling that Marvel needs to drastically diversify its output? The constant barrage of superhero movies is enough to wear anyone down, but the studio had no trouble generating enthusiasm at San Diego Comic-Con with its slate of upcoming movies. In addition to a new studio logo, Marvel shared new art and other updates for several of its most anticipated releases. Here’s a quick overview:
While you still have nearly three years to wait before the release of Captain Marvel, Kevin Feige introduced fans to recent Oscar-winner Brie Larson—who will be playing the title character—and the film’s new title treatment.
In addition to introducing fans to director Ryan Coogler and his cast—including Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Michael B. Jordan (Erik Killmonger), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), and Danai Gurira (Okoye)—Marvel revealed Black Panther’s glistening new title treatment.
During the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 panel, Kevin Feige announced Mission: BREAKOUT!, a new Guardians attraction coming to Disney California Adventure park in summer 2017. Described as “an epic new adventure” that offers “a variety of ride experiences,” this attraction can be glimpsed in the conceptual art below, along with the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 title treatment.
