Marvel’s The Inhumans Is Coming To TV Next Fall

Marvel scrapped the Inhumans movie a few months ago, surprising fans who had seen Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D build up stories about the Inhumans for a couple of seasons. Now, Marvel is working on turning Inhumans into a TV show.

The Marvel site announced that the company is working with ABC to create Marvel’s The Inhumans, and it will premiere as part of the fall TV lineup in 2017. Not only that, but the first two episodes will be filmed entirely with IMAX digital cameras and will be screened in IMAX theatres worldwide for two weeks in September 2017, preceding the show’s small screen premiere.

In case you didn’t know the obvious, the Inhumans are a race of superhumans with unique powers. Their TV show will focus on the character of Black Bolt and the royal family.

Black Bolt’s unique power is the ability to cause great destruction with his voice, but he’s forced to mostly remain silent because even a whisper could unleash his power. He can also fly, survive in space, manipulate matter, has superhuman strength, and can harness energy to create electron energy blasts. So basically Black Bolt is a bad-ass—albeit a quiet bad-ass.

While we wait for more details about the newest Marvel TV series, catch up on what the Inhumans are up to on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
