Tom Hanks Has To Save The Human Race In The First Inferno Trailer

It’s been seven years since Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks teamed up with Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard to bring non-Academy Award-winning author Dan Brown’s billion-dollar book series to the big screen.

Following 2006’s The Da Vinci Code and 2009’s Angels & Demons (I guess 2009’s The Lost Symbol wasn’t worth adapting), renowned symbologist professor Robert Langdon (Hanks, with regular adult man hair this time) must stop a humanity-wiping virus using 700-year-old clues from Dante’s map of hell. Even worse, he’s woken up with a bad case of amnesia. But it’s not all gloom and doom: he’s got Rogue One’s Felicity Jones by his side to race across Europe in order to solve the grand mystery and save us all from extinction.

Adapted from Brown’s 2013 novel, Inferno also stars Ben Foster, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, and Babett Knudsen, and is out October 28, 2016. Just in time for Halloween!

Dust off your old professor jacket and check out the trailer, or teaser, or teaser-trailer below.

And don’t think we forgot about the film’s international trailer, which also dropped today.
