Deadpool 3 Is Definitely Happening Because Superheroes Dropping F-Bombs Never Gets Old

The Deadpool sequel won’t drop until March of 2018—or possibly even later since the movie just lost director Tim Miller (don’t stress, they’ve already half-reeled in John Wick’s David Leitch). And yet: Deadpool 3 is already a sure thing.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the third movie (and to a smaller degree, the second) will pull in comic book characters from the X-Force like Colossus (who we saw in the original along with Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Cable, Psylocke, Domino, X-23, and Wolverine—quite possibly in a push to build yet another superhero ensemble franchise à la The Avengers and X-Men.

Back before the first Deadpool movie hit theatres earlier this year, becoming a massive, money-making hit (hello, $782.6 million!), Reynolds was already talking about his designs on X-Force: “In the future, if we’re doing a bunch more Deadpool movies,” said the actor, “we’re gonna really explore the X-Men a lot. And maybe X-Force. X-Force is really my priority. I really want to get that in.”
