Guillermo Del Toro’s Crimson Peak Trailer Has A Bone To Pick
According to the narrator of this trailer, bloody bathtubs, creaky doors, creakier elevators, and some very bony spirits are only some of the frights on display in the latest trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming gothic chiller, Crimson Peak. If 2013’s sci-fi brawler Pacific Rim left you feeling a little nostalgic for del Toro’s trademark dark fairytale sensibility, this clip should put a big sinister smile on your face—and also give you a good jolt or two.
The film reteams Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska, who were last seen together in indie auteur Jim Jarmusch’s sublime 2013 vampire flick, Only Lovers Left Alive. Also on hand are Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam, who headlined the del Toro-produced Mama and the del Toro-directed Pacific Rim, respectively.
Let’s have a look at the trailer:
That’s some spooky stuff right there. Crimson Peak haunts theatres October 16, just in time for Halloween. In case you missed it, here’s the first trailer, which features an haunting cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ “Red Right Hand,” courtesy of PJ Harvey:
