Astronaut Pays Perfect Tribute To Spock (From Outer Space)
“Space: the final frontier…”
So the iconic introductory narration at the beginning of every episode of “Star Trek” began, stating the five-year mission of the Starship Enterprise. So it’s only logical that the best tribute so far “Star Trek” star recently departed Leonard Nimoy, who played the half-Vulcan, half-human Spock, came from the final frontier.
Nimoy, who died Friday (Feb. 27), was remembered by U.S. astronaut Terry W. Virts, who is currently on the International Space Station.

Virts flashed the traditional split-fingered Vulcan salute in front of a view of Earth at a distance, sharing the photo on Twitter without commentary.
